About this event

Taking place at in the Drama Room at the WPCC, Smokescreen brings Dubbo residents the opportunity to witness iconic and influential films from the history of cinema.

The theme for Smokescreen 2025 is 'The Unexpected'. Each film takes a familiar characterisation, scene or trope from the science fiction universe and diverts expectations. From ground-breaking new ideas in portraying space and time, to film settings and cinematography that redefined how audiences experienced a genre that is often only thought of as ‘those Star films’.

Tickets $10 or see all 12 films for $75 by purchasing a Season Pass. Tickets includes a 'Buy one, get one free' offer at The Establishment Bar following the film.

In partnership with The Establishment Bar Dubbo.
