Inland Petroleum, an independent, locally owned, and operated fuel and lubricant supplier, has been a steadfast presence in Central Western NSW since 1985. The company's head office, based in Dubbo, NSW, oversees four depot facilities and ten retail sites strategically situated across Western and Northwestern NSW. Inland Petroleum's enduring presence in the industry is a testament to its reliability and commitment to its customers.

Inland Petroleum is your trusted partner in bulk fuel and lubricant products, with over 39 years of experience servicing customers across Australia. Based in Dubbo, New South Wales, we have built a reputation for exceptional service, supported by a fleet of over 40 truck and tanker combinations ranging from rigid vehicles to AB-triple road trains. We have a proven track record of coordinating supply for large mining, transport, and agricultural customers through our world-class operations centre based in Dubbo. We utilise sophisticated automation systems to ensure our customers' minimum safety stock requirements are always met. Our schedulers are experts at utilising our fleet size and considerable internal storage capacity to mitigate price and supply risks to our customers.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

As an independent and locally owned fuel company, Inland Petroleum is committed to conducting its business safely while connecting producers with consumers across Central Western NSW. The well-being of all, including our employees, subcontractors, customers, visitors, and communities affected by our business, is paramount. Our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures enable us to identify, assess, and control our hazards and risks. We believe that everyone, including you, plays a crucial role in this process, and we encourage your active involvement. Together, we can use a process of continuous improvement to reduce the likelihood and consequences of incidents and injuries.

Inland Petroleum recognises that everyone has a responsibility to display leadership and ownership regarding HSEQ. We are committed to providing a safe place of work and being an employer of choice for HSEQ.

Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) are not just essential to our business, they are at the core of everything we do. Our HSEQ policies and procedures enable us to identify, assess, and control hazards and risks, ensuring the safety of all involved. Our dedication to this program is unwavering, as evidenced by our holding independently audited ISO 9001 QMS accreditation for over 12 years. We are fully accredited under the NHVAS in Maintenance, Fatigue, and Mass Management, further demonstrating our commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Retail

Inland Petroleum, a standout in the industry, offers unique fuel and convenience retail services directly to consumers at its 13 locations. In addition, it provides dedicated and specialist fuel distribution services, setting it apart from its competitors.

Our newly redeveloped site, the Clydebank site in Dubbo, is a monumental achievement that stands as a testament to the collective effort and dedication of our team. Witnessing this project come to life has rightfully instilled a profound sense of pride in all those involved.

The transformation journey was filled with long hours, numerous challenges, and moments of doubt. However, our team's resilience and determination shone through, as they met deadlines and worked tremendous hours to complete this project. Our employees and committed suppliers truly made this project a success. We acknowledge and appreciate their hard work and dedication, which made this achievement possible.

While service Station changes and new builds are complex, they are dwarfed in complexity by the monumental task of completely redeveloping an existing site.

Community Engagement

For almost forty years, Inland Petroleum has supported rural and regional businesses, sporting clubs, and events in the Central West. We donate over a quarter million dollars to community groups, charities, and sporting clubs annually.

Our commitment to corporate social responsibility differentiates our business from competitors and strengthens our reputation. By actively contributing to the community's well-being, we can build a positive brand image and foster goodwill among the communities where we are located.

The Opportunity

In 2010, Shell approached Paul to purchase their depot at 109 Erskine Street, Dubbo. Shell had a depot without a business, and Paul had a business without a depot. Recognising the strategic value of this opportunity, Paul, with the encouragement of his wife Pam and son Drew, made the bold decision to purchase the site. This acquisition, with its one million litres of storage, positioned Inland Petroleum to be a competitive force in the market, a testament to Paul's business acumen and strategic thinking.

Inland Petroleum reached a fantastic milestone when Paul and Drew opened our workshop and logistics hub on Fitzroy Street in Dubbo in 2021. It took months of hard work to prepare our workshop to safely and efficiently maintain our fleet of 40 trucks and the assortment of trailers that make up the various combinations we use. This has been an extremely rewarding project for all of us involved, and it's a testament to what can be achieved when a great team of people works towards a common goal.

Inland Petroleum acquired the expertise of Luke McKay, an exceptional Workshop Manager with an impressive background of over 17 years of experience. As a qualified Welder/Fabricator and Heavy Diesel Mechanic, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. Luke oversees our workshop team and workshop, which manages a fleet of 45 prime movers and multiple tanker combinations.

Luke's extensive experience and skills make him an invaluable asset to our team. His ability to efficiently handle complex repairs and maintenance tasks ensures that our fleet remains in top-notch condition. His attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and dedication to ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency provide us with a sense of security and confidence in our operations.
