The friendly local staff at the Dubbo Visitor Information Centre can provide you with a range of information on local attractions, upcoming events, assistance with accommodation and other services as required. Maps and brochures are also available, together with a selection of souvenirs and other merchandise.
Visit our Medicinal Garden at the Centre which features 6 different species of plants, also an interactive sign which shows icons for the plants traditional Wiradjuri uses, and a QR code that can be scanned taking you to a local’s version of welcome to country.
The Centre is a fantastic place to recharge your batteries after a long trip with drinks, snacks and fresh coffee available to order. Stow your luggage in the secure-luggage area, charge your devices on our docking station or ask the friendly staff for a lead for your pet.
Grab a cool drink or a fresh hot coffee and sit outdoors on our shaded deck as you leisurely plot your adventure using the free Wi-Fi, while the kids play on the playground nearby. Take a selfie with George the monkey or the Bronze Rhino Sculptures of Black Rhino mother and calf Bakhita and Kufara.
The Centre is adjacent to Macquarie Lions Park, which has barbecue facilities, a water bottle fill station and is a great place for a picnic with views of the Macquarie River.
With excellent parking and all-access restroom facilities including a disabled toilet and a dedicated parents room there is no excuse not to pop in and say hello!
Do as much or as little as you like! Saddle up, step back in time and explore ancient sites. Or simply relax by the river, watch a stunning country sunset and enjoy a starry night. And remember, no trip to Dubbo is complete without a visit to the iconic, world class Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Click here >>
