Located on the corner of Church and Macquarie streets, is the Reindeer Rotunda - the heart of Christmas activity in the Dubbo CBD. Here you will find...

The Dubbo Christmas Tree

This year marks 15 years of since the City Christmas Tree, a six metre tall Scandia Spruce, to be precise, was first erected in the CBD. The Christmas tree will stand tall and bright from Thursday 3 December 2015 to Thursday 7 January 2016. Come use it as a great backdrop for festive family photos and see how amazing it looks when lit up at night!

Christmas Street Flags

The 26 flags that adorn the flag poles along Macquarie Street feature the smiling faces of many locals getting into the festive spirit. Walk the street and look up to see if you can spot someone you know. The Christmas flags will be up from Thursday 3 December 2015 to Friday 8 January 2016.

Photoboard and selfie frame

Take a moment to take a selfie or a quirky family pic at the Reindeer Rotunda. Share your festive photos with #smileitschristmas on social media. We’ll post the most vibrant, heart-warming and humorous photos on Dubbo City’s social media.

Santa’s Helper Station

This is where you can find out about the 12 days of giveaways, enter into the daily draw to win your cashback, make a wish on the Community Wishing Tree, and find out what’s happening each day. Santa’s Helper Station is manned by the CBD Elf every day from 10am to 4pm - unless she’s out and about giving gifts, spreading cheer of helping Santa!

Chill out zones, pop-up man caves and boyfriend benches

Scattered around the Dubbo CBD are several places to take a breather from the Christmas shopping and/or leave your other half to enjoy a stack of magazines and copies of the Dubbo Photo News and Weekender while the shopper continues on their merry way! The chill out zones are also popular with the CBD Elf, who like to giveaway fans, lollies and more.

Santa & his sleigh

Santa and his trike sleigh will be at the Reindeer Rotunda every day from Saturday 5 December to Thursday 24 December between 10am and 2pm. Come let him know what you’d like for Christmas and, if you ask nicely, he might take you for a sleigh ride!

Community Wishing Tree

It’s filled with well wishes and messages of hope, love and humour. The Community Wishing Tree is a small way in which we can all give back to a local non-profit organisation. This year we’re raising money for Orana Early Childhood Intervention. Help us give back this Christmas by making a gold coin donation when you share a message to hang on the Community Wishing Tree. Visit Santa’s Helper Station to make a donation and get your decoration to write on and hang on the tree.
