The Western Plains Cultural Centre is pleased to offer FREE art workshops for the whole family in the July 2018 school holidays. NOTE: All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

The workshops start promptly at 10.00am and last for one hour. No bookings required, please arrive promptly. 

10am – 11am | Monday 16 July Come and meet Cosmo McMurty, a 3.3 metre tall rabbit who is part of the exhibition Bowerbird. What do you think Cosmo does when everybody has gone home for the day? It must be a bit lonely. Could you build the perfect friend for Cosmo? Come and give it a go. Suitable for 5-12 years old 
10am – 11am | Tuesday 17 July Listen to the amazing music performed by the Australian Chamber Orchestra in ACO Virtual. It will blow your mind! Create a funky Plasticine collage expressing how you felt about the music you heard. Suitable for 5 – 12 years old 
10am – 11am | Thursday 19 July It’s cold, a great time to snuggle up under a quilt. In celebration of the quilt exhibiton Hand Made Tales (8 September – 9 December), we are inviting children to design a special quilt using paper and material. Suitable for 2-6 years old 
10am – 11am | Friday 20 July Make and decorate a percussive instrument and play along with the phenomenal Australian Chamber Orchestra in ACO Virtual. Suitable for 2-6 years old
