Banjo Paterson's 'The Man from Ironbark' is well known throughout Australia, now the village made famous by the poem, Stuart Town (formerly Ironbarks), is celebrating its history, culture and creativity through the Man from Ironbark Festival.

This years' event will kick off at 9am with visitors able to browse am array of street stalls selling everything from local produce to arts and craft, knick-knacks and much more. Following this, an official opening will commence at 10.15am and there will be a re-enactment of The Man from Ironbark. A street parade will begin at 11am and will include an Easter egg handout. This will be followed by poetry in the park from noon, a re-enactment of the Goldfields Holdup at 1.30pm and a concert in the park at 2pm.

Children will be well catered for with a range of activities especially for them including the crowning of the Price and Princess' of Ironbark (one to 6 years), stage coach rides as well as amusement rides which will be operating throughout the day. There will also be an art display in the arts centre and a doll, bear and craft expo.
