Dubbo together with Taronga Western Plains Zoo and National Parks will team together in a major visitor campaign following a successful application for funding in the amount of $323,250.

Dubbo City Council's support for the campaign and its application has resulted in successful funding under the first round of the NSW Regional Visitor Economy Fund.

The major visitor campaign will be used to increase destination appeal and boost visitor numbers to the City.

State Member for Dubbo Troy Grant told the Daily Liberal "the funding will help to build destination appeal and will see Dubbo City Council, Taronga Western Plains Zoo and National Parks all working together to entice visitors to the region."

The funding has been received from the first round of the NSW Government's Regional Visitor Economy Fund, with $21.6 million committed by the government to the fund over the next three years.
