Dubbo Event Network

Background

The Dubbo Event Network is comprised of members of the events industry including event organisers, event venues and event suppliers. Membership of the Network is not limited or restricted by numbers of members nor individual skills, experience or industry.

Under the Dubbo City Events Strategy, a two-year action plan clearly defines a new way forward for Council, in partnership with the community, to attract events to the City; and assist and develop our local events industry. A priority action in the plan is the establishment of a community based forum, the Dubbo Events Network. The aim of the Events Network is to provide  a voice for the local events industry, stakeholders and members of the community. The Network will also offer a platform for information sharing and industry development.

Aims and objectives

The Dubbo Events Network is an outcome of the development of the Dubbo City Events Strategy.
       

Aims and objectives of the Network are to:

  • Help build the City’s event industry capability by providing support and advice to event organisers and stakeholders.
  • Help identify opportunities for growth and development the City’s event industry.
  • Provide advice and direction to Council in respect to the Dubbo City Events Strategy’s two-year action plan.
  • Provide a channel of communication between Dubbo’s event industry and Dubbo City Council.
