The Let's Get Growing - Dubbo Residential Property Investment Seminar was designed to inform and give you an understanding of what’s required to make a successful and compliant investment in the local real estate market.
The three key speakers on the night were incredibly well received and guided the audience through local statistics, financial planning and the most successful ways to invest in the residential market. Following the presentations roaming microphones took questions from those sitting in the audience. Those 200 or so people got the opportunity to speak candidly with our experts and found out what they could achieve with the right approach.
Stall holders and guests alike were buzzing with excitement after the seminar. Attendees spoke to industry specialists and asked questions relating to their own personal situation, the many professional stalls on site were overwhelmed with the positive leads from the event and the readiness of people looking to invest.
Margaret Lomas is quoted in the Dubbo City Council media release below:
Dubbo is an ideal city for savvy investors because of its economic vibrancy and potential for growth, according to property expert Margaret Lomas.
A board member of the Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) and presenter of two property shows on the SKY News Business channel, Ms Lomas was keynote speaker at a Residential Property Investment Seminar held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre last Tuesday, where she said she intended to invest in the regional NSW city.
"After all the research I did to prepare for this Seminar, I have to say, I'm impressed," Ms Lomas said.
As a regional city boasting 16 different industry sectors and a proactive and progressive local government in Dubbo City Council, with significant projected population growth across the next 25 years, Ms Lomas said Dubbo was a text book case of the kind of city that savvy property investors look for.
"There is a great feeling here and it is backed up by the facts - Dubbo is a great place to invest.”
Mayor of Dubbo Councillor Mathew Dickerson said the City was preparing for a projected population growth of some 9500 people over the next 25 years.
"Dubbo City Council is working very closely with business and industry through its Economic Development Strategy and the new Local Environmental Plan to prepare for future growth and also the impacts of potential new mining operations in the region," he said.
"The Dubbo Local Environmental Plan caters for growth with an additional 1620 hectares zoned for residential use, which has the potential to support almost 7000 new residential lots over the medium to long term."
The Residential Property Investment Seminar was a combined initiative of the Dubbo City Council, the Real Estate Institute of NSW - Orana Division, and the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
