Macquarie River Canoe and Kayak Trail
A canoe/kayak trip down one of NSW's inland rivers enables you to enjoy the true beauty of our vast river systems. There are many Crown land reserves along the trail where you can camp overnight or stop for a well-earned lunch break. The Dubbo BMX Track is located at Powter Park in North Dubbo and was officially opened by Dubbo City Council in December 2007. The $80,000 project is a competition-grade facility designed and built with advice from a former BMX national champion. The Powter Park BMX Track is provided by Council as an inexpensive, healthy outdoor pursuit for the young people of Dubbo, with scope for formal competitions to be held. The BMX Track is located on the corner of Gipps and Myall streets, North Dubbo.
Dubbo Skate Park
The City has just opened the Dubbo Skate Park, featuring Australia’s first ‘full pipe’ as well as a BMX track. The Dubbo Skate Park, located in the Victoria Park Regional Action Sports Precinct, is considered world-class and is designed to challenge and grow the skills of skaters as well as attract national and international athletes.
Tracker Riley Cycleway: Dubbo’s extensive cycleway network includes the popular and scenic Tracker Riley Cycleway which takes you to the Taronga Western Plains Zoo or around the banks of the Macquarie River and through scenic parkland.
