Catch dinner. Dubbo is an angler’s paradise. Catch of the day is usually Murray Cod, Yellowbelly or Silver Perch and the native fish take bait or artificial lures.
Take a stroll. Dubbo has over 71ha of parkland, including a fabulous orchid display at the Orchid House in Victoria Park and a diverse sample of Dubbo’s biology prior to European settlement which is featured at the Elizabeth Park Biodiversity Garden.
Explore the wildlife. There are plenty of bush walking and bird watching opportunities along the Macquarie River corridor.
Get active. Put your sports shoes on and walk, jog, skate or cycle the Tracker Riley Cycleway along the river corridor. Take in the great scenery while you work-out.
Get arty. You can also see many examples of Indigenous art across Dubbo on bridge pilons and iconic buildings such as the local library.
