2014 Destination Appeal Campaign
Dubbo City Council in partnership with Inland NSW Tourism, Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Old Dubbo Gaol and National Parks will be undertaking a major visitor campaign targeting the family market in Sydney and surrounds. The campaign is scheduled to launch on March 24 and will run through to the end of the autumn school holidays.
The $261,000 campaign will promote Dubbo and the region as a destination that delivers an exciting adventure
experience to families with children 6-12 years of age.
Marketing activity will be digital based with the development of a website featuring a total of 13 ‘adventure’ experiences available in the region.
The campaign is expected to receive more than 7 million impressions via digital marketing activity including online high impact and tactical ad placements, electronic direct marketing and google adwords advertising.
Dubbo City Council has secured four local accommodation partners each receiving promotion as one of six exclusive partnering accommodation venues on the campaign website and one of four exclusive partnering accommodation venues on dubbo.com.au.
The campaign is expected to drive visitation to the area allowing local businesses to leverage from the spike in the visitor market.
